About WDL
We are a web design consultancy based in Colchester, Essex. We built our first websites in 2002 under the name of TradingUp. In 2008 we became a limited company and rebranded as Website Design Limited, or WDL. Throughout our time as web designers we have worked for companies, organisations and individuals throughout the UK and in Europe. We consider no job too small, and welcome all customers.
Our core work is web design, e-commerce and web application development, but over the years we have built on our skills and now offer a wide range of related services including internet marketing, and print design.
In a world that is full of uncertainty, we have become respected as a reliable company that keeps it's promises. The majority of our work comes from referrals and recommendations, which is testament to the excellent customer service we provide for our valued clients.
Our work is governed by 3 guiding principles: simplicity, user-centered design, and consistency. We work with our customers to provide effective business solutions that offer a real return on investment.

Elliot // Managing Director Elliot founded WDL in 2002 after graduating with a Masters degree in computer studies, specialising in ecommerce. He previously studied psychology. He is particularly interested in coding dynamic database driven sites using a range of technologies. |
Matt // Creative Developer Matt joined WDL in November 2006 after graduating with a degree in business management. Matt is interested in making web sites that are visually appealing whilst retaining usability and effectiveness. |

Craig // Web Developer Craig joined WDL in February 2009 as a developer but is now also in charge of all things technical. He is responsible for keeping team WDL up and running and can quite literally fix anything. |
Sarah // Designer Sarah graduated from university in 2008 with a first class degree in Graphic Design. She loves creating layouts and imagery, especially using photography, traditional mark making techniques and the freedom of digital media. |

Tom // Web Developer Tom graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in economics, a long, long, long time ago. He enjoys working in a team of designers and developers with the aim of producing high quality work consisting of both functional and aesthetic elements. Outside of work he is a keen runner, enjoys spending time with his daughter and is also an avid West Ham supporter. |
Dave // Internet Marketer & Web Developer Dave has a passion for CSS and user interface design. He also likes to keep up with the latest trends and technologies through blogging and social networking. Dave has a lot of experience assisting start-up business ventures and companies through Internet Marketing and IT Consultancy. Outside of work Dave enjoys music production, adrenalin sports and doing anything creative. |

Rob C // Junior Web Designer Robert C joins WDL after completing his Graphic design and ICT A’levels. Robert’s main role as an apprentice web designer is to help the team by making modifications to websites. He is also looking forward to learning more about web and graphic design. |
Natalie // Business Administrator Natalie is currently studying towards a BTEC Business Administration course. She has joined WDL to help Elliot with the administration duties of our growing business. Outside the office Natalie has a passion for Scuba diving. |
