Small Wins Episode 16

Written by James - 30/05/2022

It’s been a while since our last entry of our Small Wins blog series, not because we haven’t been busy, or didn’t have anything to share (in fact, recently we’ve had more projects than in previous months); but because we’ve had our final quarterly company update for 2021/2022 which we wanted to share with you!

As always we’ve picked out a few of our best bits across the past couple of months – giving you an idea of what’s been going on behind closed doors.

Bin Buddy

Recently we have been working on the new Bin Buddy website. The long-term client (part of the Challs group) who have a number of website and marketing retainers with us, decided it was time to update their website. Rick set about introducing some custom CSS animations throughout the website – he’s extremely happy with how these turned out, and can’t wait to get the site live.

We also significantly increased the number of products that the current website showcases, whilst having multiple international websites built (United Kingdom, United States of America and Australia). Put simply, we have completed an entire overhaul of the website, including the addition of new content.

The website is nearly ready to go live, so keep your eyes peeled on our socials when we announce the launch.

Loughton Bathrooms

Loughton Bathrooms approached us to help move their old website away from Yell. they were also after something a little more modern, which would be easy to use and administer.

Following the brief from Loughton Bathrooms, Matt built them a new theme site, matching their existing branding and style. Most of the original content was carried over from the former Yell website. We’ve recently launched their new website that can be viewed here.

Quarterly Company Update

Every 4 months we have a quarterly company update. We don’t usually bring these up in our Small Wins blogs, however, as this update was for quarter four (summarising the financial year and our achievements) – it simply had to make the cut.

What a year it’s been for Website Design Ltd, we’ve had our busy moments, and our quieter moments (unless you’re in the DM team, which is growing rapidly) and our ups and downs. In our recent quarterly update we took time to look back across the past 12 months and see how far we really have come.

We’ve welcomed 5 new employees (4 permanent contracts and 1 fixed term), Grace, Kieran and Jack (digital marketers), Mia (business administrator apprentice) and Sarah (short-term design contract). We even reached a number of our financial targets, and saw some significant progress at 75 East Hill (our new office).

Office Consent

Speaking about our new office, we now have all the consent necessary to finish the renovation. It’s been a long process which has kept Elliot busy, but one that we’re all excited about. I popped into the office last week and there has been some big changes already. I believe we’re just waiting on some plastering work, then the home stretch will be in sight.
