Small Wins – Episode 3

01/02/2021

Even Small Wins Deserve Celebrating – is it just me or was that title getting a little long winded?

It’s that time again! (For those that don’t know, this is becoming a regular thing). It’s not all doom and gloom, although sometimes we get that it definitely does feel like it. That’s why we like to celebrate the little things in life and our work life is no different. So what’s been at happening at WDL that’s put a smile on our face?

Nexus Fostering Goes Live

Following a bespoke design and build, earlier this month we launched a new website for Nexus Fostering. A foster family like no other, their ethos is focused on providing exceptional training and support for carers, ensuring they make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people. With an Ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’ since 2011 and offices throughout England, Nexus care for carers and children alike.

We were tasked with improving their online presence with a bespoke design and website build, while referencing the existing Nexus brand. With various page templates and elements designed, the site has been built with flexibility to allow Nexus to easily change and add content using the variety of blocks provided.

Of course, online presence doesn’t just refer to the website. We have also put together marketing campaigns, utilising a mix of PPC and display ads in order to help Nexus achieve their goals.

The Nexus Fostering project and continued marketing support has required input from the whole WDL team which has allowed us to work more collaboratively within the team and with our contacts at Nexus.

Putting European Wine On The Map

Unfortunately for my more sophisticated colleagues, we did not get to enjoy a European wine tasting tour. But we did get to enjoy working on another bespoke design and build. Howard Ripley imports wine from Burgundy, Germany and Northern Italy, primarily from smaller family-run estates.

This feature rich eCommerce site was designed with precision and quality in order to reflect the traditional and upstanding face of the brand. It also saw a unique approach given to the standard homepage hero image we often deal with, allowing for equal prominence of the 4 main wines.

A new site going live is always a win, even more so when it is a totally bespoke website project that has included IA, design and build. Seeing our clients happy, their websites working successfully and our work becoming ‘real’ is always rewarding.

A New PPC Client

Our marketing team have recently started working with The Fashion Consultant, a wholesaler of designer goods. Working directly with The Fashion Consultant team, we have been supporting their individual retailers through PPC campaigns. We hope to be delivering success to both The Fashion Consultant and their partnered retailers. With 16 new accounts potentially requiring our PPC expertise, it’s an exciting time to be a WDL marketer. Just ask Shahed!

So that concludes this issue of Little Wins. We’re extremely happy with our new sites and clients and believe all 3 of the aforementioned wins give us plenty to look forward to.
