Small Wins episode 23

Written by James - 09/01/2023

What better way to kick start our 2023 blogs than to summarise the last month of 2022? December was an interesting month for us here at Website Design Ltd, with our office closed from Christmas Eve until the start of the new year – but that didn’t mean we slowed down in the run-up to the festive break.

MacFinder goes live

We may have mentioned in a previous Small Wins episode that we were working on some significant updates to the MacFinder website. As one of the largest retailers of refurbished macs in Europe, we had our hands full. Our long-term client came to us with some ideas for a redesign of their website, including more easy-to-use functions allowing customers to easily browse their online stock.

From design to build, this has kept our design and development teams busy, but with the website being launched in the final stages of 2022, we’re incredibly happy with the project.

We’ve secured a big project for the future

We’ll be building a bespoke web application for Schools Choice (part of the Vertas group). They have an internal system that’s integral to their business and this needs to be rebuilt. Our new build will incorporate updates and improvements to the current, dated system.

Celebrating Christmas in style

Every year Elliot treats us to a wonderful Christmas meal and this year was no different. Our Website Design Ltd Christmas social is one of the few times each year when we’re all together – despite having a handful of other social events across the year, the Christmas social always seems to get the best turnout.

This year we visited the Yak and Yeti for a Christmas curry which was just divine, sharing a laugh over our secret Santa presents – some more crude than others – and some post-meal drinks in Colchester, the evening was a memorable one.

Elliot also, once again, put on his elf hat this festive season. Armed with a large brown bag and some blue tissue paper, he created custom hampers for each member of the Website Design Ltd team. I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say these went down incredibly well!
